In addition to credentials as multi-engine rated commercial pilot and certified Flight Instructor-Instrument (CFII), Scott is a career educator with a doctoral degree in performance and pedagogy from the University of Iowa.
Scott has combined his various professional interests with his love for things with wings. He has published numerous articles on flight training in Private Pilot and Plane and Pilot magazines ("The Six Habits of Highly Successful Flight Students"). Scott was the grand-prize winner in an international aircraft paint design competition sponsored by SOCATA Aircraft Corp.

I founded PILOTMAKEROKC to help my students to realize their potential as comprehensive pilots in all aspects of flight training from the usual private pilot single engine and instrument training all the way to multi-engine and World War 2 aircraft (warbirds). I want you to become a pilot and not just a certificate holder.
I have been a pilot since 2001 and a flight instructor since 2007. I have a passion for flying and teaching with almost 3000 hours flight experience in 50 different types of aircraft. I will expertly guide you through your flight training.
I spent 8 great years in the Army National Guard and I have also worked as an intensive care and cardiology unit nurse. My fulfillmet comes from sharing the sky with each student and helping them achieve their goals and pilot certificates.Training will be tailor made to fit busy schedules.
In addition to being a single and multi-engine instrument rated instructor I am also an airline transport pilot and I have seaplane, high performance, high altitude and tail wheel (tail dragger) ratings.
